Matthieu Blazy delivered yet another unforgettable moment at Milan Fashion Week with Bottega Veneta’s Spring 2025 collection. Set against a whimsical backdrop featuring animal-shaped beanbag chairs—Michelle Yeoh on a ladybug, Kendall Jenner on a horse, and Jacob Elordi on a bunny—the show transported the audience back to childhood.
The playful atmosphere, designed by Zanotta Sacco, perfectly mirrored Blazy’s concept for the season: a return to the wonder and excitement of dressing up as a kid.
Blazy’s imaginative pieces struck the perfect balance between conceptual and everyday fashion. Oversized jackets, one-leg pants, and asymmetrical wrap skirts evoked that “first experience” of trying on your parents' clothes.
Quirky details like frogs perching on dresses, bunny-shaped lapels, and giant fish-printed scarf tops added a sense of humor to the collection, taking inspiration from E.T.'s iconic closet scene.
Despite the playful approach, Blazy didn’t shy away from the luxury craftsmanship that Bottega Veneta is known for, showcasing chic, brilliantly crafted pieces like a vivid orange draped jersey dress, a fringed white coat, and leather wigs.
The collection also featured standout bags, including unique creations made by students at Bottega Veneta’s own school.
