My name is Jim and I am the creator of the LastingBuild Channel
I’m a hobby woodworker and carpenter. I have been doing projects since I was a kid but my interest in the craft has really taken off since developing my own dedicated shop.
I started the channel about 18 months ago to share my projects and practice and the resulting community that has developed is amazing, let me take a second to introduce you.
We are a group of thousands of woodworkers, most of us have no formal training in woodworking or the trades but we are passionate about developing our shops, improving our skills and building projects we are proud of.
We prefer quality over quantity, traditional over modern and we like to debate our workbench heights and French cleat spacing. That’s an inside joke by the way!
