Again, I wanted to pay it forward and create a DIY for 911 owners. I haven’t seen a video on this so here’s a quick video of pulling out the gauges from a 1991 Porsche 911 Targa. I am the second owner of this 964 and noticed a lot of the indicator lights were peeling and delaminated so I plan on getting them refaced to OE or install some overlays from North Hollywood Speedometer. I used a pry tool made by @EtherealProAV aka The Install Bay and a business card. Before starting, I disconnected the ground terminal from the battery and waited 30 min like suggested. By the time I removed the steering wheel and the steering column cover (Clam Shell) I was ready to start the process. I recommend really taking your time on these since these are older cars and they may be brittle. Getting my hands behind the panel made all the difference after I got the fuel gauge out.
