this is a little tool I have had since back in the 80's , it's for breaking roller chains from # 25-# 60. They are not expensive an there are different types that do the same thing. It saves a lot of time if you have to repair a roller chain, and if using this you don't grind off any of the original pin so it can be put back and peened back to reuse the old link if needed. this one has been used a lot so I think the punch has gotten worn down to the point that it doesn't completely push the pin clear of both straps so I have to finish pushing the pin out with a different punch,, thanks for watching.
