On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, a live SABR Oral History interview was recorded with former New York Mets All-Star pitcher Jon Matlack.

Matlack won 125 games in 13 seasons for the Mets and Texas Rangers between 1971 and 1983. He earned NL Rookie of the Year honors in 1972 and helped lead the Mets to the 1973 World Series. After his playing days ended, he served as a pitching coordinator in the San Diego Padres and Detroit Tigers for many years until his retirement in 2012.
