Keys are such a common item that they get overlooked for macro photography. They usually have lots of detail including scratches and dirt from years of use and clattering around on keyrings.

In this macro photography tutorial, we will be exploring how to photograph keys. In particular, we will be using low-key lighting to add contrast and reveal surface detail on these reflective metallic items.
