Sonic 3 A.I.R: Sonic 1 Edition is a collection of mods that try and resemble the 1991 original title, Sonic The Hedgehog, for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, made by various creators.

With the main feature here being Accurate Sonic 1/CD Sprites, this mod replaces the looks of Sonic to match how he looked in Sonic 1 and Sonic CD. All sprites are replaced with new sprites by the creator of the mod (panoramhusky) to cover Sonic 3 exclusive sprites (except in the case of the "Sonic 3 Complete" option, those are made by the S3C team).

There are various sprite and palette options available to choose from, so check out the options menu!

The second main feature here are the stage mods themselves, all of which try to be ported over from the original 1991 title, but with altering the layouts that still work like Sonic 3.

As a quick note, some of the stages happen to use mania remixes for certain acts, not sure why though.
