The Gran Desierto de Altar of Mexico stretches from the southern US border all the way to the Sea of Cortez, comprising the largest dune system in all of North America. A 6-person team spent 3 days navigating this massive sand sea using a diesel-powered AEV Colorado ZR2 Bison Tray Bed, two AEV JL370 Wranglers and AEV’s JK350-based Outpost II concept. These AEV-outfitted vehicles were all heavily loaded with water, fuel and supplies, yet they never required any repairs or even recovery assistance over the course of 130 miles in this vast, unforgiving terrain. This extremely remote desert was a fitting test for many of the new and upcoming products that AEV has in the pipeline.
