Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande has called on law enforcement agencies to act against those involved in the destruction of property and violence at universities. Nzimande was reacting to yesterday's violent protests at various campuses following his announcement that tuition fee increases in 2017 should not exceed eight percent. He says government has responded adequately to concerns around university fees and that his door remains open.
