scientific name
Bellis perennis
Daisy (Bellis perennis) is a dicotyledonous perennial plant of the order Asteraceae.
Characteristic
It is native to western Europe, and the original species resembles a dandelion flower that is commonly found in Korea. The leaves are long oval, shaped like a spatula, and grow in a small rosette shape [1]. Daisies currently on the market include Shasta Daisy, Dahlberg Daisy, Gloriosa Daisy, Cape Daisy, African Daisy, and English Daisy. Although it is a perennial herb in its origin, it has been improved as an annual in terms of floriculture, and the seeds are well propagated, so it is cultivated as an autumnal perennial plant that is sown in the fall.[2] The genus name Bellis is derived from the Latin word Bellus, which means beautiful, and the place of origin is Europe and the Mediterranean coast, and there are 10 to 15 species. It belongs to the representative plants and flowers that decorate spring in Korea.
