This has been edited using Movie Maker on my Laptop as these were taken on my Still Camera, which is still compatible with Movie Maker.
Anyway, probably my favourite of the 4 locomotives in action at the Churnet Valley Railway over the weekend of the Winter Steam Gala, JZ (Yugoslavian Railways) Class 62 0-6-0T 62-669, operating as fictional ex SR USA 0-6-0T 30075, is featured in this video in a trip up from Kinglsey and Froghall to Leekbrook Junction. The 1960 built machine has some minor but noticeable differences from the American 'S100' on which they were based, principally a higher boiler pressure, curved steam pipes and smaller, flat topped domes, in stead of the round topped domes on the American Locomitves which were taller than the cab. It is interesting to note that the wheelbase of these locomotives is only 10 feet, meaning they could get round tight curves, and despite only being classified 3F, they could easily move 1,000 tonnes.
I cannot say when the coverage of the rest of the gala will be up, but I hope it will be by the end of Half Term.
I would like to thank the CVR for putting on a great event, Tom, Andrew and Frank (none of them youtube users) for keeping me company through the day, and you for watching this video
