The term "Moral Scope" refers to the set of entities that are considered to be valuable as ends in themselves, as opposed to being valued only as a means to achieve something else. In this video we take a look at several moral scopes, including Anthropocentrism, Rationalism, Bio-centrism, Sentio-centrism, and Eco-centrism, and I argue in favor of Sentio-centrism as the best principle for deciding which entities deserve moral value.
