Snorricam, otherwise known as the “reverse Steadicam” or the “chest cam” is an effective method of placing an audience directly into a character's headspace. These body cam shots visually emphasize a character's state of mind, often to amplify the effect of intoxication, panic, paranoia, or sometimes a calm euphoria.
It's achieved by rigging a device with a camera to the chest of the actor resulting in a wildly disorienting point of view and a skewed perspective that immediately grabs the audience’s attention. The perspective of the entire scene constantly changes, while the actor always remains in the same fixed position in the center of the frame. The world rotates around the actor.
