Welcome back to Let's Get Techy!
Today we are starting a new series on the channel. This series is called "Does it work?". Just as it says, we will take a look at items found online, and see if they live up to their claims.
In this episode, we are looking at a custom copper IHS for 6th and 7th generation Intel processors (Skylake and Kaby Lake). This custom IHS came all the way from Europe and claims many improvements over the stock Intel IHS. We are going to see if it is worth the money spent, and more importantly DOES IT WORK?...
All testing was conducted on an AsRock Z170 Extreme4 motherboard, i7-7700k, and Corsair 120mm liquid cooler. The 7700k was overclocked to 4.8GHz at 1.28v.
