It’s nice to see Fafnir on shelves no matter which brand it’s from. The downside from this particular release though is that….NO RUBBER….AGAIN! Hasbro is making it a real habit to remove all the rubber from Fafnir Beys. The nerf is even more apparent in this version of Fafnir because the Vanish Energy Layer Base is practically ALL rubber from Takara Tomy. There’s only a bit of plastic in the Takara Tomy version, but this QuadDrive version is the opposite. The spin steal ability is nerfed to the ground with this one, but hopefully, this means that an epic Pro Series version will launch in the future.

What are your thoughts on this release? Will you still pick it up? The parts are…interesting to say the very least, but we would buy it again just because it’s a Fafnir.
