A simple closed curve made up of only line segments is called a polygon. The different types of the polygon are triangles, quadrilateral, pentagons, hexagons, and so on. The simplest polygon is a triangle that has 3 sides and 3 angles. Based on its interior angles, a polygon can further be classified as concave or convex. If the interior angles of a given polygon are less than 180 degrees, the polygon is convex, if not, it is a concave polygon. A diagonal is a line segment connecting two non-consecutive vertices of a polygon.
