Astrolabe is a celebration of 25 years of Arturia. It's their software condensed into a single hardware unit. You have 1,300 onboard patches with access to another 7,000 with the bundled Analog Lab software.
The sounds are as good as you'd expect from Arturia, and there's so many Orestes it's difficult to pick what's best for any track in particular. You don't need ton edit with this many sounds on board, but if you've got the software licenses you can edit the synths to your hearts content.
I like editing and tweaking to death so having thew V Collection opens this up a whole lot more.
