FYI: A BearBanger is a type of noise signal flare, it usually shoots from little pen-like launcher about 100 feet and then explodes with noise louder than your average gun.
He didn't run away when I took pictures with the Canon through the screen door six feet away, he just glared and went back to the feeder. I hate bears like that. They should show some respect.
He didn't run while my husband started the video camera, passed it to me, loaded the Bearbanger and open the screen door. I had tried to load the Bearbanger but my hands were shaking too hard :-)
Usually, you shoot the Bearbanger above and in the general direction of the bear. The thing has no accuracy. We had no idea he had actually hit the bear until we saw the video. If it teaches the thing to stay out of suburban backyards it could be a really lucky shot, for the bear.
