A breathless accompaniment in quarters supports the melody in 8th notes in the key of A minor. Staccato plays an important part, as well as 2-note slurs and pizzicato makes an appearance. Dotted-quarter/eighth rhythms are performed with hooked bowings. There are a few chromatic notes that will require finger flexibility with clearly marked fingerings.
