1000 LONDONERS
This film is part of 1000 Londoners, a five-year digital project which aims to create a digital portrait of a city through 1000 of the people who identify themselves with it. The profile contains a 3 minute film that gives an insight into the life of the Londoner, as well as their personal photos of London and some answers to crucial questions about their views on London life. Over the course of the project we aim to reveal as many facets of the capital as possible, seeing city life from 1000 points of view.

Hello darling, buongiorno. Food is everything, without food I didn't have a job, or I couldn't make what I've made until now, I couldn't have my house. Food gives me the chance to make myself known to the people and what a beautiful to be Italian. We have so much to tell about food. I'm from South Italy, Puglia, the heel of Italy. Small village which is a very small village, next to Foggia city. They describe it as the heel of Italy, where the weather is beautiful, the food is good, the people are always warm and welcoming. I grew up there until I was 19 when I decided to move here to England. A part of me we are in four, we are Antonio, Saron, Michaela and also my brother which is Vito. There's also my Mum sometimes comes and gives us some help. We have always the support of many people. Next please. This is Luigino Rigo, Mr Luigino Rigo. My best friend and friend for life. If I have a problem I go to him. If I'm good, I go to someone else. Good morning! Good morning Mum. Is everything OK? Everything's fine! For Italian's life in London is very different, especially if you come from a small village like me, with a bit of time you start to appreciate what this city can offer you. I came here with nothing and step by step I built something to be proud of. Yes, miss and anything else? Panini is £3.50 please. Thank you. All the Italian's, they're very close to their food, if you want to make a food dish, you want a particular product, everything reminds me of my life when I was a kid because I was so in love with that stuff, and because we were a big family sometimes it was very difficult for my Mum or father you know to buy this stuff and make everybody happy in the family. All things that when I was a baby, when I was 8/10 years old, you know I was dreaming to live in a shop like this and now I am! And it's £11.10, thank you miss.
