Mediation is a process where the parties come together with a mediator to help negotiate the settlement of their case, and develop their parenting plan if necessary. Collaborative cases are a much greater team approach where each side has their own attorney, and we have a neutral facilitator to help through the emotional aspect of the divorce, and to develop the parenting plan if necessary. And we have the neutral financial professional who is there to gather all of the financial information, and give that to the team, and negotiate the financial settlement.
