About 3 months ago I bought Doop Classic 2 Skates With Seba Luminous Wheels because I heard a lot of good things about them.
I'm 6"8 tall with a shoe size 48EU which isn't small. When I was looking for skates I heard that Doop make skates up to size 49EU which got me interested.
In fact, their skates are adjustable and would fit most type of shoes. I had no problem to fit my trekking shoes but I prefer flat light shoes like the Under Armour or Vans Mono Old School.
Now, after 3 months of using Doop Classic 2, there are few things I wish have been done differently. For instance the heel lift idea does not make any sense to me and I think to enjoy skating with Doop skates you have to get rid of it.
I tolerated it until my 7th ride. They could easily get off balance. Similar to a women walking on high heels.
Also I had few blisters and hot spots around my ankle on my right foot. So I carefully marked the areas where the blister occurred and then with a heat gun and the end of the screwdriver I pushed it out. Now It is 100% fit!
In overall, I'm super happy with the Doop Classic 2 and would recommend them to anyone.
Especially If you're tall like me with large feet.
Each skate including the wheels weights around 1750 grams which is quite a lot for skates without the boot. Not a big deal if skating is a form of exercise for you.
Anyway...
I'm looking forward to see 2017 collection of Doop Skates.
Seba Luminous wheels (white) feel great! They're grippy and a lot of fun. They also feel much safer on the road with heavier traffic.
They're a bit slower because of the magnetic core, meaning that you have to push a little harder to keep going.
So here you go...my opinion about the Doop Classic 2 and Seba Luminous Wheels. Now I would love to hear yours.
Leave a comment below. Also ask me anything...
Enjoy skating!
