This four channel fun to fly electric ducted fan (EDF) aircraft is perfect for beginner fliers. It's very docile, yet can be very fast. Modeled after the SR-72 Darkstar, it also looks really cool. Find it here and use coupon code BGfc2ad3 for $20 savings [ Ссылка ]
Pros
- Flying model of the Lockheed Martin SR-72 UAV aircraft.
- Weighs only 110 grams with battery installed. Does NOT require registration or remote ID (RID) in most countries.
- Ready to fly plane with included transmitter.
- Four channel airplane with throttle, Rudder (Differential thrust), and elevon (combined elevator/aileron) controls.
- Constructed of flexible and crash resistant EPP foam.
- Power by two 8623 brushed ducted fan motor.
- 7.4V 380mah battery provides about 5 minutes flight time.
- 150 meter range controller with three selectable flight modes. Two 6G stabilized modes, and "3D manual mode" turns off all stabilization for fully aerobatic manual flying.
- Very maneuverable plane. It's differential thrust motors allow it to make yank and bank (full aileron/full elevator) turns on a dime.
- The fuselage shape is a lifting body. This helps to make it an excellent glider. You can do very gentle belly landings with this plane. Watch the landings that I do with it in this video.
- Can be flown with multi-protocol transmitters using FX9630 protocol.
Cons
- Doesn't come with glue. You'll need a little bit of foam safe glue to attach the two vertical stabilizers.
- The gamepad style controller could use some improvement. The modes slide switch requires letting go of one of the control sticks to access it.
- There's no LVC warning or protection. The controller does have a minute warning beeper, but recommend also using a timer to prevent damaging your batteries. If you notice reduction in power, it's time to land this plane and change your battery.
- It's a brushed motor plane. Allow a 10 minutes cooldown period between flights to help improve motor longevity.
