Abstract

Are you interesting in becoming a CISO, or are you already a CISO and looking to expand your skills and capabilities? Come join us for the 1st annual CISO track of CactusCon. This specialized track will start 2/17 at 9:00 AM and will have a solid lineup of content, delivered in a way that will be truly unique.

The day will start with a series of workshops that attendees will rotate through covering relevant topics such as what it takes to develop an effective security program, how to set goals and measure success, strategies for AI and emerging trends, and even how to expand beyond the CISO role into consulting and entrepreneurship.

These morning workshops will be followed by a catered lunch and networking opportunity, followed by a panel discussion, and a closing keynote from Pete Kim that will provide profound insights on how to succeed at leading a cyber program.

The CISO track costs $30 that mostly applies to pay for the nice lunch, because a few of us insisted a CISO track has to have good food. Lol 😂

So often I get questions from managers or senior practitioners, about how to ramp up to CISO or other exec security roles (or, "I am a new CISO, what do I do?"). This is the ultimate chance to get answers in a way that is far more meaningful than any random utterances and cliches we try to squeeze into the typical happy hour or water cooler soundbite.

This cool new track is the brain child of Andy Jordan, in close collaboration with Christine Wilson, Andrew Wilson, and CactusCon leadership. The collaborative effort to bring this vision from idea to reality has involved some of the CISOs and security leaders I respect the most, including Andy Jordan, Andrew Wilson, Christine Wilson, Daniel Shuler, Ed Vasko, Kim Jones, Lester Godsey, Mark Dallmeier, Pete Kim, Ryan Murray
