We continue to honor former Columbus Division of Police Chief James G. Jackson. Jackson served Columbus honorably for five decades. The City’s first Black Chief of Police, he fought to create a division that represented our diverse community, and shaped CPD into a national model.
Jackson passed away this week at the age of 91.
