In a remarkable milestone towards the high- speed rail connectivity vision of Indian Railways, the national transporter has awarded Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) the contract for manufacturing high-speed transitions.
This will be the first such trainsets which will be indigenously designed & manufactured in India with a test speed of 280 kmph.
The coaches of trains will be designed in a fully air-conditioning fitted Chair Car style providing modern comforts to the passengers, including reclining and rotatable seats, provision for the passengers with reduced mobility, audio and video systems, ensuring a pleasant and enjoyable journey.
