Sweet rice, also known as kheer or rice pudding is a rich and creamy dessert that is usually made for Jhandis (Hindu prayer services) or Hindu Weddings. It's commonly eaten with puri (thin flatbread fried in ghee) and gurma/gurumba (sweet mango dessert), but it can easily be eaten with the help of a spoon. I hope you enjoy my grandmother's recipe for sweet rice!
