Tensions continue to escalate between Iraqi Kurdistan and its neighbouring countries. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish president, has threatened to cut the oil pipeline in addition to other sanctions, saying he is obliged to do this. The pressure is meant to solicit some kind of concession from the Kurdish leaders, but it remains unclear what that concession would be.
