The deputy chairman of the Council of Governors, Taita Taveta governor John Murutu said he would use his position to protect devolution by ensuring there was enough allocation to each county to enable them to serve their people fully to achieve the goal set by devolution in the 47 counties.
Murutu said there had been poor funding of county governments from the national government which had mostly hindered developments in the devolution.
He added that there was need for a renewal at the IEBC before the next elections.
