Ive never seen this happen to a ski have you checked your Jetski or Waverunner Lately? Yamaha Ex Sport with Debris large rocks lodged in the rear of the Jet right behind the Impeller. Luckily no Damage was found. How to remove these from the Impeller Grate Quick and Easy. This could possibly cause a significant amount of damage to your ski and also cause the performance to drop.
