Just some of my favorite experiences during the 19th installation of Rainforest World Music Festival. This year brings some of the unique vocal talents from different continents, sisters Karin and Kathy Kettler (Nukariik, from Canada), Vassvik from Norway, Violons Barbares (a trio from France, Mongolia and Bulgaria), as well as Vocal Sampling from Cuba.

Local performers were naturally talented as well! Alena Murang, one of the handful of women playing Sape, an instrument that was taboo from them in the old days, while telling her mesmerizing stories. She was also the center of the Kids Workshop with PUSAKA Bookaroo, realigning the festival to a family oriented fiesta.
