How to eliminate user confusions & take your Power BI report up a notch by setting up Title Conditional formatting, based on slicers & filters, so that your report page title and chart title can change dynamically, across two lines with line break and show ALL when unfiltered.
Especially because in Power BI, filtering can happen is so many places, via slicer, filter pane on the right where you can filter on visuals, filter on this page, filter on all pages etc…
More specifically, I will show you:
- How to create a concatenated list of values, based on slicer and filter selections in Power BI
- How to modify the no of values before truncation in Power BI
- How to modify show ALL if no filters are selected
- How to add additional text to our title.
- How to create dynamic title in a chart title using conditional formatting in Power BI
- How to add line break, to create two or multiple lines in titles.
- How to troubleshoot PBI when line break is not working, by turning off Text Wrap
- How to add dynamic title page to a report using conditional formatting in Power BI
This features are super easy to learn and super useful for the end user.
Give it a go and see it for yourself.
All the best with your Power BI journey and see you next time.
Cheers,
Isabella Susilowati.
