The Sport Fury of '66 was the highest trim and feature model and was competing with the top of the line Chevrolet Impala to give the personal luxury car driver exactly what they were asking for. There is no doubt this was a great looking car and the fine people at Chrysler Motors began hitting "home runs" in the styling and engineering departments.
One look at that sleek roof line and tidy body lines show that cars were beginning to evolve and gravitate towards aerodynamics while keeping a subtle and unassuming look. This car has had some adjustments to the exterior including shaving the door handles and removing some trim that really give it a timeless elegance while keeping with the vintage charm. Not to be outdone the interior of this Mopar has received full attention including a deep blue vinyl and blue tweed treatment that is unique but really looks nice and inviting for the next lucky driver. Just imagine yourself sliding into that bucket seat, grabbing onto that polished grant Banjo steering wheel, throwing that chrome shifter into gear and taking off all for well under $20,000.
Under the hood you will see a true Mopar classic, the legendary 383 that purrs to life with a turn of the dash mounted ignition and sounds fantastic. The automatic transmission shifts precise and on point and the power steering and power brakes make driving this car a true pleasure. The restoration on this beauty was completed in 2004 including the engine and transmission rebuild but has only accumulated 1,900 miles since and still shows very fresh. If the paint looks familiar it is because it is finished in Cadillac White Diamond and this thing just shimmers under any light. This car is sure to be noticed at any car show or cruise night.
