Milan Design Week, held every April in Milan, Italy, is one of the world’s largest design events. This week-long celebration is composed of two main parts: the furniture fair “Salone del Mobile.Milano” and the city-wide satellite events known as “Fuorisalone.”
Fuorisalone consists of related events held in various design districts across Milan, such as Brera, Porta Venezia, Alcova, and Isola. These events include exhibitions, installations, and workshops, transforming the entire city into a creative space centered on design. Each year, the events feature diverse themes, such as sustainability and technological innovation, creating a dynamic atmosphere throughout Milan.

The Japanese designer Yusuke Taguchi presented his flower vases at Angelo Radaelli, a florist founded in 1886 in the Monte Napoleone district, a symbol of fashion in Milan. Created in collaboration with Leonardo Cappellini, a master wood artisan from Florence, the exibition is titled “Si sente un soffio vitale? (Can you feel a vital breath?)”. These vases, designed by Yusuke Taguchi, embody the strength and delicacy of the vital breath that emerges from nature, captured through the diverse techniques of woodworking by the Florentine artisan, who crafts his creations surrounded by the natural beauty of Tuscany.
