In this video Jenny reviews the 2022 Subaru BRZ in the top S trim.
Extreme power was not the key factor in either but it does have a wonderfully balanced body, good suspension setup, precise handling and that excellent front-engine RWD setup further aided by a low centre of gravity of the boxer engine in the BRZ. And these elements combined mean the BRZ is a lot of fun.
The new bigger engine in the BRZ is a 2.4 L naturally aspirated boxer produces up to 174 kW of power nad 250 Nm of torque from 3700 revs.
The Subaru BRZ is a proper driver’s car, one of the few left and certainly one that has its place on the market. It’s no accident that the first 500 have already been sold. And honestly I’m not sure you can have more proper, old-school driving fun in a new RWD car for under 40k.
