This Workshop video is part of our project 'South Lanarkshire Refugee Digital Climate Change Project' aimed at raising climate change awareness through community engagement using digital technologies.
This workshop was facilitated by Grace Iyoha a PhD Research student at Glasgow Caledonian
University specializing in waste and environmental management. A student member of CIWM (Chartered Institute of Wastes Management) and a STEM ambassador. She is passionate about community engagement and has been involved in several volunteering projects within the BME community. Her current research project is on food waste management in developing countries.
This workshop will inform, engage and enable our communities to be more active in understanding climate change and the actions they can take to reduce the negative impact of climate change on our environment.
This workshop will help people and commuinities understand the impact of their activities and how it affects our communities at large.
Our project, 'South Lanarkshire Digital Climate Change Project' is aimed at increasing engagement and participation of refugees and asylum seekers in South Lanarkshire Scotland as part of our effort to address issues of under-representation. - Turn Flicks
