Major Fred Watson oversees the Atlanta Police Academy and started his career back in 2001. He is originally from Chicago but has made Atlanta his home. Coming back as the Commander of the police academy has been a rewarding experience for Major Watson because he’s passionate about helping officers and recruits succeed at APD. His goal is to offer future officers the same opportunities he had when he was a recruit, support them, motivate them, and provide them with the necessary resources to excel in law enforcement.
