Welcome to the 2 Guys & A Cooler Channel. Today we take a look at a piece of equipment that I've been using for several months. It's the 25# Electric sausage stuffer from the Sausage Maker. I bought this unit back in January and it has literally transformed the way I make sausages and salamis. The Sausage Maker carries all sorts of stuffers. In the category of electric stuffers they have 3 types. They carry a 20#, a 25#. and a 30# unit. These are all large stuffers meant for the hobbyist or business that's serious about making sausage.
The electrical motor that's attached to the stuffer is just awesome. This unit allows you to make sausages with total control and precision. Because the gears are so well built the electric sausage stuffers can handle even the smallest of diameter sausages like snack sticks. This is where most of the competition will fall short. The speed control lets you work at your own pace by controlling the speed in which the piston lowers. At first I thought that it lowered too slow but as soon as I put some sausage in it I realized that it was just perfect.
There is an air relief valve that removes the air between the top of the ground meat and the piston. If you happen to get air pockets in your ground meat mixture as you fill the cylinder this air relief valve WILL NOT remove that. This is why it is important for you to stuff the cylinder with ground meat in such a manner that no air pockets are formed. If you do get a few air pockets you can easily remove them with a sausage pricker once you stuff your sausage. This will avoid any spoilage issues..
The foot pedal allows for hands free operation giving you more control while stuffing the sausage.
