August 2024. DFDS Transmanche ferry - Newhaven to Dieppe - Family suite / cabin - 4 person window cabin with double bed, two bunk beds and a TV lounge. Taken while docked in Dieppe before journey around 6pm.
Mains sockets are European (there are also a few USB-A sockets) so bring a couple of Euro-UK plug adapters. There is 1 socket near the TV, 1 between the sofa and the window, 1 between the sofa and the bunk beds, and a couple each side of the double bed.
Coffee machine is Nespresso; 4 (good) coffee pods, 2 (awful) tea pods, sugar and a few UHT milk portions provided (but not many; 4 or 6 IIRC) plus 4 tiny biscuits. TV does have HDMI sockets and it is easy to connect a console or media player, but note there is only one mains socket by the TV, which is used by the coffee machine - we just moved the coffee machine to the window area near the sofa.
There is also a small fridge in the cupboard near the TV, but it didn't have anything in it.
Bedding, towels, loo roll, shower gel, a notepad, pen and children's jigsaw/crayons are provided, but not much else. Our only real criticism was that there were no curtains! It's recently refurbished and everything was in as-new fully working order when we travelled in August 2024.
We travelled on both ferries, one in each direction, and the suite was identical. This was room 612 but I forget which ship it was.
Good but bear in mind you're only on the ferry for 4 hours. It's not quite up there with the Captain's Suite on Stenaline Harwich - Hook of Holland but far, far better than Brittany Ferries in our experience. The rest of the ferry is also in good condition. Duty Free is better than Stena/Brittany. Food is better than Stena but not as good as Brittany and there were no problems taking food from the self-service restaurant to the cabin.
Spotlessly clean.
Recommended.
