When patients enter Nebraska Medicine's Durham Outpatient Center, they are typically met by hospital greeter Bill McCafferty. After serving in the military during the Vietnam War and working as a private detective for 40 years, Bill now spends his days greeting patients at Nebraska Medicine. But in early 2016, Bill became the patient. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer, which metastasized in his right leg.
