My favorite fruit to grow is hands down the persimmons. I have 12 different varieties which we go over in this video. The reason the persimmons tree is my favorite tree to grow is because its very easy, the fruit taste incredible and most people have never had a persimmons before. The reason its easy to grow is because of three main reason. First it manages to avoid all the late frost by flowering extremely late. Second persimmons are parthenocarpic which means they can produce fruit with out fertilization. Which means they avoid all the problems involved with cross pollination. Third but not least is the fact that they are incredible disease and insect resistant. I'm pretty confident that if you could get away with not spraying these trees at all.
