ISLAMABAD: All the education ministers will meet on November 11 to review the situation after the spike in coronavirus cases and decide about the closure of schools and winter vacations,
Addressing a press conference in Attock, he urged schoolchildren to strictly follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
He said six months closure of educational institutions has already affected the students’ studies.
The decision to open educational institutions was taken with great care and any hasty decision to close them again will destroy education,” he added.
Punjab School Education Minister Murad Raas has said the government may close educational institutes in the province if the coronavirus spread continued to increase, adding that, however, no such decision has so far been taken.
Punjab Minister foMr Raas further said the government had not yet decided to close the schools and they were continuously monitoring the Covid-19 spread situation.
School Education Murad Raas announced on Saturday that there would be no winter vacation in schools of the province this year as there has already been academic loss due to the coronavirus pandemic.
