Today, we are going to see which is a better setting choice on your security cameras. The traditional night vision with Infrared LEDS ON or turning it OFF and let the camera record in full color with the help of some lighting or getting security cameras that have a built in floodlights or spotlights on them.
I also want to know your setups and which ones do you think are better. I've been noticing lately especially on the neighbor section of the Ring app, that most outdoor footage at night are being recorded in full color. There are a lot of security cameras now that are getting into the security camera plus spotlights trend and they are recording in full color when the lights are on at night.
Ring started this with their Floodlight cam 3 years ago but they really didn't think that color recording is a viable option at first until I complained and posted a video below.
