Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. In this video, I was out on the kayak again and after several failed attempts to try and get some kingfish, I decided to purely focus on getting snappers instead. After learning what was working and what wasn't, I decided to use smaller softbaits than I usually use around 3 inches and a slim profile. This made a huge differences and I was able to get some good snapper from the shallows which was great. Hope my next kayak mission will reward me with a kingfish....
