The Supreme Court ruled today that the Aadhaar card cannot be accepted as proof of age. This judgment overturns a previous High Court ruling that had allowed Aadhaar as valid proof of date of birth in a motor accident compensation case. The bench, consisting of Justices Sanjay Karol and Ujjal Bhuyan, stated that they were not inclined to consider the Aadhaar card as suitable evidence for verifying a person's age.
