(28 Mar 2015) The Colima Volcano in western Mexico continued to send large columns of ash into the air on Saturday.
An eruption early on Saturday morning spew ash up to 2.8 kilometres (1.74 miles) into the air.
Smaller explosions took place earlier on Saturday.
There has been a recent increase in activity at the volcano, also known as the "Fire volcano" and authorities are maintaining a yellow alert for the area.
The yellow alert means that the volcano " is showing activity" and that residents should be ready for a possible evacuation.
The volcano, one of most active in Mexico, stands between the border of Colima and Jalisco states, 690 kilometres (430 miles) west of Mexico City.
