4) Outdoor Recreation & Parks
Marietta is close to several national recreational areas and parks, one of the most popular is Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield. Which is knowns for hiking, being dog friendly, history tours and reenactments. Marietta also has several smaller parks great for families with children but for those who like the more adventurous outdoor rec activities, you need to check out a personal favorite, Soap Creek.
