Hazratbal Mosque in Srinagar witnessed a heavy rush of devotees on the first Friday of Ramadan. They gathered on ‘Jumma’ to offer afternoon prayers on the lawns of Dargah. The Dargah Committee made proper arrangements for the smooth conduct of prayers. Ramadan began on March 23 and is expected to culminate with festival of Eid-ul-Fitr on April 22. During the month-long fasting, devotees offer special prayers to rededicate themselves to the almighty.
