Turbidity is a constant thing to keep an eye one. It is caused by dirty solvents, dirty gas, silica bleed or even light leakage into the ELSD optical cell. Turbidity will tie up the dynamic range of the signal. The ELSD has a 1VDC signal range. If most of that is tied up and zeroed out, your peaks may clip or truncate. Or, you may not see any peaks at all.
