Siem Reap is more than just the gateway to Angkor Wat – it’s a city packed with history, resilience, and some seriously cool community projects. In this video, we’re diving into Siem Reap’s best spots to eat, explore, and support local initiatives that are all about giving back.

Our day starts with a caffeine boost at Footprints Cafe, where amazing coffee meets a great cause. From there, we’re heading to the Cambodia Landmine Museum and meeting some adorable (and super smart) HeroRATs at Apopo, both working to clear Cambodia of landmines and help locals feel safe on their land again. Seeing firsthand how these places are making a difference really puts things into perspective.

We’ll also stop at Tevy’s Place for a meal that’s as heartwarming as it is delicious, stroll through the Made in Cambodia Market, and wrap up the day with an impressive performance at Phare Circus, where local artists share Cambodian stories through dance, theater, and circus acts.

And, of course, no trip to Siem Reap is complete without a visit to Angkor Wat. We’ll also check out Bayon Temple and Ta Prohm (yep, the Tomb Raider one), getting up close to these ancient ruins that are just as incredible as everyone says.
